My background

I’ve been working in the mental health field for over nine years! I received my Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University, and then moved back home to Dallas for my Master’s degree at University of North Texas at Dallas before leaving Texas to try something new! I finished my PhD in Clinical Sexology and wrote a book on neurodiversity and sex. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, Virginia, and Colorado as well as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland.

I come from a systemic perspective to stay with my client where they are at and work through issues at the root. I’m trained in EMDR and Gottman Level 1, and am an AASECT certified sex therapist. Having a strong therapeutic relationship is important to me, so I am my most authentic self in session. I take an active role in what goes on in my office. I’m not just going to ask how your week was—I actually want to get into the deep stuff with you.

In my spare time, I like to hang out with my dogs and my partner. I’m really good at fantasy football and love a good murder podcast.
